Yongong represents more than just a company. It’s a movement inspired by the Kungarakan language and symbolises seamless, purposeful movement. The values of collaboration, trust, responsibility, and respect. Connecting clients and communities, facilitating movement with care and purpose, respecting land and culture through sustainable operations.
In Kungarakan language, Yongong means moving in a group, moving away to another location.
Yongong (pronounced—Yongee) is 100% owned by Holly Thorburn, a proud Kungarakan woman based in Sydney who lives on Cammeraygal land, part of the Eora Nation.
Holly is recognised as a direct descendant of Alyandabu, the matriarch and ancestor of the Kungarakan people. Holly takes great pride in being accepted in her community and the Kungarakan Culture & Education Association.
Our Purpose
To promote meaningful First Nations employment and well-being on the journey to building a successful business, by supplying transition services to help with Holly’s Vision.
